Oh, the Legal Mind!
The Amazing Gardening Non-Spork is satire, humor, parody, whatever you want to call it. We are not selling anything, though we will take your money if you voluntarily send it to us with no strings attached.
The Amazing Gardening Non-Spork originated as my son's 5th grade homework assignment. The kids in the class were supposed to invent something and then describe how they would go about marketing it. Alan decided a website, for the other members of the class to look at, would be a cool idea.
Originally, he called it the Amazing Garden Spork ®, never imagining that a company would actually use such a lame name.

Dear Kirk, [it's spelled Kerk]
I understand that the Roody Moody website which includes an image and title of the Garden Spork belongs to you.
If so you may not be aware that the name garden spork is a registered trade mark in both the U.S and rest of the world. [we were not]
This web page in its current form is a direct infringement of intellectual rights belonging to my company. ["intellectual" and "spork" do not go together]
Please could you remove both the title for and the name of 'Garden Spork' from your page.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Robert Todd

Have you even looked at this so-called "direct infringement"? The "intellectual property" you refer to was my son's 5th grade homework assignment.

This may be so and is excellent, but this is not very apparent from the web page you have displayed. [really? you mean there are idiots who might actually think we are selling something when we suggest this?] I still hope you can cooperate with the removal of or at least clear distinction from the rights which we hold. Your urgent attention to this is now requested. Thank you.
Sincerely
Robert Todd
At which point we decided the effort of fighting this idiocy was not worth it. Even nuisance lawsuits cost real money. The site now refers to the "Amazing Gardening Non-Spork"
